According to Elliptic, the gaming platform PlayDapp was hacked as a result of a private key being compromised.
On February 9, an unknown person minted 200 million PLA tokens worth $36.5.
Shortly after this, the PlayDapp developers sent a message to the attacker asking him to return the money and receive a reward of $1 million.
The attempt was unsuccessful.
On February 12, the hacker issued another 1.59 billion PLA tokens worth $253.9 million and began laundering funds through crypto exchanges.
Before the hack, the total supply of tokens was 577 million PLA, so it may be difficult for a hacker to sell 1.8 billion
