FOX: SEC launched an investigation into Ethereum last year

According to FOX, Consensys' lawsuit states that the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) approved an investigation into Ethereum on April 13, 2023.

Five days after this, Gary Gensler appeared before the House Financial Services Committee, where he refused to answer the question of whether Ethereum is a security.

Previously, Gensler hinted that Proof-Of-Stake (PoS)-based tokens could be verified using the Howey test.
