Cryptocurrency exchange Gemini has filed a lawsuit against Genesis Global Capital demanding access to more than 62 million shares of GBTC worth $1.6 billion, CoinDesk reports.

“Today, the security is valued at approximately $1.6 billion. The amount fully covers and satisfies the claims of each Earn user,” the lawsuit says.
The platform's lawyers noted that Genesis promised to provide GBTC shares as collateral for loans from exchange users under the Gemini Earn program.
