Gemini Exchange has entered into a settlement agreement with the New York State Department of Financial Services.

As part of the deal, Gemini will return at least $1.1 billion to Gemini Earn customers through Genesis' bankruptcy proceedings.

The exchange will also pay a fine of $37 million.
