Arweave storage network founder Sam Williams has announced that the Irys protocol (formerly Bundlr Network) plans to fork Arweave.

The developers intend to delete data sets and change the tokenomics of the project.

Williams added that the only reason for the Irys fork could be greed, since all their actions are in no way aimed at the development of Arweave.

Today, Irys processes about 95% of Arweave's transactions.
