One of the largest Japanese online retailers, Mercari, plans to start accepting payments in Bitcoin.
The service is expected to be implemented in June.
Payments will be routed through crypto subsidiary Melcoin and converted into yen.
In March 2023, Mercari launched its own Bitcoin exchange.
