OKX said an unknown hacker used fake documents to obtain the personal information of a “very small number” of OKX users.
The case is now being investigated by the judiciary.
Over the weekend, the data leak was reported on Twitter (X). Two users reported this.
Security organization Dilation Effect said attackers took advantage of a security loophole in OKX that supposedly allows Google authentication or mobile phone verification to be disabled.
However, the exchange denied this statement.
OKX also said it has compensated affected users.
