Ripple announced a deal to acquire New York-based platform Standard Custody and Trust Company.

The transaction is subject to regulatory approval.

This acquisition will allow Ripple to obtain a trust license and a money transfer license in the United States.

Standard Custody provides digital asset custody, escrow and settlement services to institutional clients.
