South Korea's Personal Information Protection Commission has launched an investigation into Worldcoin.

The regulator received complaints about the project due to the collection of personal information of citizens.

The commission will take action against the project if it finds any violation of local regulations.

It is noteworthy that the regulator also previously fined OpenAI $2,703 for leaking the data of 687 South Korean citizens via ChatGPT.
