Tether announced that it will block wallets that are subject to US sanctions.

The company said it was doing this voluntarily to enhance security.

Just yesterday, Tether froze 161 Ethereum wallets, while USDT was stored in only 11 of them.

One of these wallets holds approximately $3.4 million and is associated with the hack of the Stake platform.
