The jury recognized the HYDRO token as a security in the case of Hydrogen Technolog y executives

Two former Hydrogen Technology executives have been convicted of manipulating the price of the HYDRO token and defrauding investors.

Former CEO Michael Caine was sentenced to three years and nine months in prison, and his accomplice, former financial engineering executive Shane Hampton, was sentenced to two years and 11 months in prison.

In a statement, the US Department of Justice said Hampton's case was the first criminal jury case in which a cryptocurrency (HYDRO token) was recognized as a security.
