The #stable cryptocurrency #Tether ($USDT) has gained significant popularity in Brazil, which accounts for 80% of all cryptocurrency transactions in the country, according to data from the Brazilian tax authority.
As of mid-October, #USDT transaction volume in Brazil this year totaled BRL 271 billion (~$55 billion), almost double the country's #Bitcoin ($BTC) transaction volume of BRL 151 billion (~ US$30 billion).
