The US government will refuse a second trial in the case of Sam Bankman-Fried, so as not to delay the sentencing process
According to Bloomberg, the US government does not intend to hold a second hearing in the Sam Bankman-Fried case.
In the interest of expediency, it will drop plans to prosecute charges of conspiracy to bribe foreign officials, commit bank fraud and operate an unlicensed money transmitting business.
The government said most of the evidence had already been presented at the first trial.
The court may hand down a verdict on March 28. Bankman-Fried was found guilty of seven counts of fraud and conspiracy.
