Referee Patrick Ittrich saved the life of Josuha Guilavogi with his quick reaction. Gilavogi was unconscious and his tongue briefly blocked his airway - the referee immediately stopped play, rushed to the player, removed his tongue from his throat and placed him in a stable side position.
Ittrich: “If someone is lying there like that, then we need to act quickly. I have already experienced many such situations. The tongue was at the back, and when it sticks out again, you begin to breathe and regain consciousness. In everyday life, situations may always arise in which someone needs help."
